Joe Browns - what are their clothes like?

had a catalogue through from them this morning and like lots of their summer clothes.

But questions for anyone who has ordered/shopped with them before

  1. how do there sizes compare, is a 14 generous or tiny?
  2. whats the quality like, are they one season wear or might i get a few summers out of them?
  3. Am i too old to wear their clothes at 30?

thanks

Hi I don't know the answer but yesterday ordered three things for me and one for dd so hope they are nice!

MrsBadger · 03/04/2008 14:16

there are several threads in Style referencing Joe Brown's atm - consensus seems to be they are indeed quite youthful but this isn;t necc a bad thing.
No-one has said they're poor quality and the sizes seem to run fairly true.
(I'm waiting for a sale jumper and the 'carefree summer dress' to arrive...)

I've just ordered my summer wardrobe from them. I'm 33 this month, but I like the festival-goer look. Sizing accurate in my opinion. Quality pretty good.

thanks, will go have a look in style and see what others are buying.

Celery i like that festival-goer look, always have, tricked my then DP now DH into thinking we were probably into the same music by wearing the whole tie-die hippy tyep clothing when in fact i loved take that and all things Pop!

Hi well our stuff arrived. Sizing is good and the quality seems fine, though the cotton is thin - nice for summer but might not last forever. Age, well I am 45 and 2 of the things I ordered went straight back, dunno what I was thinking of...I kept this though and have been wearing it over a long sleeve T, I love the pattern. dd's dress is lovely

i really love some of their shirts atm, i've got quite a few bits from them in the past, they last quite well

My sale jumper arrived and is fabulous - wonderfully long in the arms and body but still fitted round the waist, and £8.
I have finally stopped mourning the stripey cshmere one I didn;t buy in the fatface sale.

now awaiting dress..
