I am finding this a challenge too. Mothercare and John Lewis (depending on branch) have good options. mama's and papas carry their own range.

John Lewis OX ST.

There is a pram warehouse in Lewisham or somewhere too.

If u live in London get a Maclaren, the lightest you can find. Then you won't curse the tube and buses. You truly will if you buy a crazy travel centre thingy.

Thanks ladies - have tried JL, but they don't have a hauck which I am interested in. Any other suggestions?
We have a Maclaren, but want to get something that has a lie flat position for baby.

where do you live?
the mclaren techno does lie flat - could use that and a sling???
i've got an apple icandy which i love for local walks but too heavy for tube. the cherry is much lighter though and lies flat - a good option i reckon

Go to Oxford St, there is a big John Lewis there, a Mothercare, Selfridges and a Mamas and Papas store all pretty close to one another (within easy walking distance), you'll find everything you want to drive between them! and have somewhere nice to stop for lunch in between!

2point4kids · 02/04/2008 12:36

everything you want to test drive, I meant

I am east end, zone 2. Want something facing me. I am thinking about cherry, but would prefer different handle. Is shopping thingy underneath the apple okay?

yeh its fab
i love it but its too heavy for tube so i've got mclaren a well. if i had my time again i'd get a cherry - or at least a pear so that its easier to convert for 2 dc!
