I’ve just used the Vinted platform to sell an item. All was good until I requested my funds and Vinted is with holding the money.
is anyone else having problems getting money from Vinted? Tia

Your buyer has to receive the item and confirm it is ok, before Vinted release the funds.

LisaVH · 09/04/2024 02:06

Yes I agree and that has been completed. I advertised an item and went through the process of shopping it and the buyer receiving and paying for it. The funds were in my Vinted account and I then asked for a withdrawal …. Vinted are not providing me with my funds. Anyone else having a problem with Vinted pls?

I’m having a different issue. I sold a very expensive designer dress for £350. Sent it to the seller who have said the parcel wasn’t there when they went to collect and that the issue was being investigated by Yodel/Vinted. Vinted have said the item was not collected so the parcel is being returned to me and the buyer fully refunded. If the parcel iwas not there how can it be returned to me (which Vinted say could take up to 3 weeks.) I have noted the buyer has a number of incomplete / cancelled sales. It has put me off using Vinted, and there is no way I can put a scammer warning for anyone else approached by the buyer. I don’t think I’m ever going to see my dress again and definitely won’t be selling any more designer goods on Vinted.

I suspect I’m going to get a parcel of some sort returned, and that the scammer swapped my dress for something cheaper then has claimed the parcel was not there.

Vinted needs to create protection for these sorts of scams, especially as there is no way for me to prove what was in the parcel I originally posted. I have lots of photos of the dress but how do you prove that is what is in the package I posted? A pox on all scanners!

Hopefully you will receive your dress eventually. 🌺 I never sell anything really valuable on Vinted because there’s no guarantee that the buyer is decent and trustworthy!

Have you been asked to complete an identity check? Sometimes their payment service provider requests an identity check and they won’t allow the withdrawal until the check is complete.

Me too. I fell for the Vinted hype. Hopefully my story will help someone else.

Vinted app changing language to French, just force stop the app, then open the app, this fixed my issue with language change on my account

Enjoy

Update:

Buyer still claims locker was empty when they went to pick up the item. However Yodel claim to have scanned the item when they picked it up after the buyer had not done so, so who knows? After a plethora of emails between Yodel and me, who then directed me back to Vinted, further discussion and a long wait just in case my item magically made its way back to me, I have received compensation from Vinted for the full value of the item, so I’m happy.

I am left very bothered that someone out there has a very special and rare designer dress and probably doesn’t even appreciate how special a dress it is.

Has anyone had any issues with vinted holding the pending balance when the sale is complete ? I then got to asked to certify my ID which was complete. I then asked for my funds to be told there is technical issues.

Zakaroo · 18/02/2025 13:24

Vinted keep saying technical issue and now wait 30 days. I don't understand how payments can fail when they have the correct bank details......

Seli72 · 17/03/2025 22:24

Same thing happened to me. Vinted released the funds to the buyer so I'm out of pocket £175 and I don't have my bag
