This is really long as it is a big leaflet.Mine is a few years old so not sure if it has changed.Boots are generally good on customer service BTW - you could contact their customer service and ask for a new leaflet. Here goes:

Take the temperature from day 1 of your period (not spotting).Take it immediately after you wake up and before you undertake any other activity - do not eat, drink or get out of bed before.Do your temperature at the same time each day (within an hour or so) - there is an alarm on it to assist with this.
Never switch the monitor out of (LADY) mode when monitering BBT (basal body temperature).
Once ovulation has occurred the hormone progesterone is released and this will trigger a slight increase in your BBT.Your BBT will then remain elevated until just before your next period.THE 24 HOUR PERIOD BEFORE THE TEMPERATURE SHIFT IS IDENTIFIED IS THE MOST FERTILE TIME OF YOUR CYCLE.The temperature shift is identified by a series of at least 3 consecutive readings that are at least 0.1 degree C higher than the previous 6 readings.
BBT is sensitive to a large number of external factors also. The most common being lack of sleep, alcohol, illness and physical activity.

To use:
Press and hold the power/measure buttonfor 1 sec - a beep will sound and the power is turned on.Then press and release the power/measure button to display the measure screen.Place the probe under your tongue and apply the tip(sensor) to the groove at the centre underside of your tongue and close your mouth lightly. The first beep indicates that the temp. is being measured. The hour glass symbol indicates how many mins have passed. When more beeps are heard (5 mins) the measurement is complete.Clean the probe after each use - wipe with a cloth soaked in cold water (don't immerse) and a little diluted antiseptic and dry.The temp.measured for the first time each day is automatically recorded(but not subsequent ones). You can check the graph.Turn on the power and the record display screen appears (up to 120 measurements)

To set the alarm:
Press and hold the set button for 1 sec - the alarm display appears.Push the right or left shift button to display the bell mark ( if no bell is displayed the alarm isn't on) - the alarm is on and press the set button to keep it.Whilst within the alarm display press the set button and the minutes will flash.Press the right or left shift button to set the minutes and push the set button to set the minutes. The hour will begin to flash and follow the same process to set this.

To set the minute of the current time follow the same process for the current time and present date, month, year also.

I never had the patience with the temperature taking but this book is very good - it really does cover everything on monitering for your ovulation signs..
