maclaren techno xt

silvercross pop.

Anyone know which of these folds most easily/compactly?

Shhhh · 28/03/2008 20:43

The pop is an unbrella fold. IMO its easy to use/put up etc and I loved the one we had for ds (12 mths) (just returned it due to dh shutting it in the car boot..). Reclined and had a few recline positions and also had a leg rest which imo always made ds look comfy, in fact dd also used it (2.10 years) and she fitted in it well.

It was also fairly lightweight as we originally bought it for use on holiday via plane.

need to know anything else on the pop..? hth x

Techno XT. The handles are quite high to start and the height can be increased. It is an umbrealla fold but not hte cheapest....but FAB stroller and incredicbly light.

Shhhh · 28/03/2008 20:49

btw pop rrp around £100...but offers are about. There are refurbished ones on ebay for around £40 and boots do tend to do brill deals..ours was from there for £70.

i am nearly 6 foot and have a mamas and papas pilko pramette which has done fine, the handles extend up. It folds easily but still takes up a bit of space. Sure you could get one second hand, mine was £350 but the PIL bought it i would never have spent that much!

Another vote for Techno XT - not only are the handles high and extendable, but they are the comfiest.

used2bthin · 28/03/2008 20:58

The jane energy has got handles of 107cms, I wanted one but ended up with a maclaren quest which I think is 104 cms and does hurt my back a bit.

bethoo · 28/03/2008 20:59

bebecar which has extendable handles and the seat is reversible too. can be used from birth.

hippipotami · 28/03/2008 21:05

Another vote vor the Techno XT. I am 6ft1 and it was the only pushchair I could push without it hurting my back.

It is a fab buggy, reclines, larger than most so a nice large seating area, adjustable handles, lightweight and it folds neatly (umbrella fold)

All in all, if I was to ever have another baby I would buy another XT without a shadow of a doubt.

meimango · 29/03/2008 18:03

Dh is 6'4 and i'm a good foot shorter than him and we both are comfy with the mac xlr - though if we had of gone with our dream buggy it would have been a stokke xplory which also has adjustable handles
