I have an urban detour at the mo that I was given, but that is an 1.5 inches too wide for my front door (cue lots of rude words) I am looking at paooiably a hauck roadster duo, or a kidz kargo twin. I had a tandem before for ds and dd1, but they are too heavy for me. Oh, and we are on a tight budget!

I presume you mean the urban detour double? It is the widest three wheeled double I have seen, I love my red castle shop n jogg double, but would love a nipper 360 as well which is slightly lighter and narrower but not cheap and doesn't have a brake on the handlebar - I don't know if that bothers you. I have seen lots of Jane three wheelr front and back doubles so presume they must be Ok as well as trendy, but still not a cheap option

I have a kids kargo - and whilst i love it, when you have 2 larger children in it (i had 2 2.5 year olds in it yesterday), it feels like it tips to one side. When a bigger & smaller child together it feels fine though.

you just must must must try a nipper double/out'n'about

fantastic! best i had

readytoswiggin · 20/03/2008 22:08

yes, it's the double. fab to push, but highly inconvient. was very narked when I had to leave it outside the chapel toddlers is in. I like the side by side facor, but am impatient to get sorted. I like the side by side factor.

I would like a nipper, buit sadly they have all ended up out of reach pricewise. I am watching a couple on ebay.

Yorky and Chorus, what are the red castle and kids kargo like for a newborn? I have a 3wk old and 25mth toddler, average weight.

readytoswiggin · 20/03/2008 22:18

Now you mention it! Am in dilemma between a buy it now red castle or kids kargo which finish in a days time, or watching and waiting on the several nippers on there... budget has just increased to about £200, was about £140.

The back seat doesn't go totally flat so thinking its from about 3 months....good luck with search!

Yorky · 21/03/2008 07:08

The red castle says suitable from birth, haven't tried it personally yet, I got it buy it now from ebay, not full price!

readytoswiggin · 21/03/2008 07:40

Oops, just as I was dropping off I had the bright idea of measuring the front door- which only has 76cm clearance! Horlicks!!! Back to the drawing board... thanks for the help
