so i can put the balance of my other card onto it or do i have to wait until they offer me that, or until they send me one of those cheque thingys

i cleared my balance of my barclaycard about a year ago and am infact 21p in credit [smug]... but have managed to whack about £700 onto another card just wondering of this was something i could do and i also really need to call up and ask for a new card and pin number at some point

It depends what Barclaycard you have... but usually if you give them a call they can do it over the phone .. but lines are 0870 numbers

However isn't there a fee to transfer balances (3%) and, if you are going to make some purchases on the barclaycard, the transfer balances are usually low down on the list of which balances get paid off first... (hope this makes sense)

Please don't use the cheques - they are expensive credit ....

thanks i see what you mean i might just transer my balance and spend the money on the other card then transfer that on aswell

i thought that the cheques were interest free that's what they say normally interest free for a yeat or something or am i being naive

Ive got a barclaycard with zero interest but when I called them this week to transfer a nother balance over they told me I wouldnt get zero interest as they offer wasnt on and I had to pay 4% interest. Buggar that.

Look at moneysavers.com and type in credit card deals, they bring up credit card offers and then apply for a new one offering zero %.
