Good family board games

Hi, we recently started a bit of a family board game tradition on Sundays, looking for some new games to start our collection. Would like some games to just play with husband but also some games that a 6 year old can play. We played the board game Nice Buns this week which was great and also a bingo type game with our DC and we separately have enjoyed Rummikub. Please let me know any good suggestions!

It’s not really a board game more of a card game but my 6 and 20 year old love monopoly bid, it’s super easy and very addictive! I don’t mind plying it with them, it’s nothing like the board game monopoly.

Ticket to Ride junior version; I've lost count how many times we played with our 6y old over the Christmas holidays.

Outfoxed is a big favourite here.

Wingspan is my favourite, normally costs a fortune but currently in Amazon Black Friday sale. Might be a bit much for a 6yo though.

we‘re a family that love a good game, our favourite is currently Mexican Train, a dominoes style game, super competitive and our 6 year old loves it, it’s also good for learning simple strategy development.

also, don‘t forget old favourites like uno, very little setup or packing away and very transportable (we always take uno when travelling).

Family board games are a great way to bond. Classics like Monopoly, Scrabble, and Clue offer fun for all ages. For a different twist, you can enjoy games like Dynamons World APK on PC using emulator, blending digital and traditional play for an exciting, interactive experience.

Our four year old grandson was given tiddly winks and Kerplunk at Christmas. I thought “oh no” but they were both really good fun.

Labyrinth (by Ravensburger) was a big favourite in our family when DS was young. Good for all ages from 6 or 7 up

Authors!

My great aunt gifted this to me as a child and we loved it! My set of cards has long been MIA but a few years ago I checked it out, found it and bought it on Amazon.

It lay in a drawer for years and I remembered about it during lockdown. My adult children loved it and played it loads! My DNs love it too and they still play it when they are all together!

Mostly card games as we mostly get time when waiting for a sibling at a sports session- sleeping queens, dobble and uno. Our main board games are Catan junior, and monopoly empire (my DD played from aged 6 but needed support to remember all the different aspects. She now wipes the floor with us age 8)
We also like the animal crossing monopoly but it takes too long to set up.
