I bought a storage container for £1.97 thinking "It will never arrive". To my surprise it did turn up eventually! I don't know how they keep prices so low, it was delivered for free and to post a similar size parcel would have been a pound thirty by Royal Mail. Quality was not brilliant, but it was ok, and I am picky! It sits in an odd-shape corner of the cupboard, so overall, happy with the purchase. No problem with the payment either, I used Paypal just in case.

Bought some stocking fillers recently.

Everything arrived within about a week with decent tracking info. Similar to or better than recent experience with La Redoute for example.

Quality mixed - a few bits that were somewhat poor quality, a few bits that were smaller than I imagined. But a couple of things exceeded expectations. A general observation that in many cases the outer packaging looks fairly cheap and very ‘I bought this cheap from China’ but the actual item seems decent.

There’s a really diverse range of stuff on the site - a couple of things I bought I couldn’t find anything quite like it elsewhere (have also found this with Ali Express - have bought some things there because it was the only place I could find a very specific thing).

Ethics - hmmm, I don’t know. I don’t think anyone can say “everything on Temu is made in sweatshops but the stuff you buy on Amazon Ebay or Etsy a fine!” - in many cases it’s the same stuff at inflated prices. Basically our entire consumption model is unethical isn’t it? Not to say that doesn’t matter of course, but it’s much bigger than Temu.

Temu’s website is very cannily set up on algorithms feeding you more stuff like stuff you’ve already bought/looked at. It’s TikTok retail. And loads of discounts and free coupons. I think the business model is to keep serving you up enticing bargains at such low prices you buy stuff mindlessly. Basically it feeds our worst consumerist habits.

I've ordered twice and never had an issue with delivery.
Quality wise, some items are exactly like you'd fine in other stores like b&m home bargains ect and others are really absolutely dirt quality. I bought a bag and it wasn't even lined ot sewed properly inside , the foam backing was exposed and sewing was a hack job coming away. Bought insoles and they are very low quality. It'd really hit and miss but its cheap what do you expect
