Phil & Ted's double kit - any problems with the frame?

We've been looking at buying the Phil & Ted's sport buggy with double kit but when we went to see it in Mothercare, the frame for the kit looked really uncomfortable. It looked like the baby will hit his head on it as he grows up as the actual seat part seemed to go under the top bar of the frame. Is this right or is there padding that goes over the frame? Has anyone had this problem? Or was it just a poor model we saw in the showroom?

if you recline it, then it goes behind but the recline only works for little ones

On ours there are two settings. You can move the padded seat further up the frame so that the padding goes over the top of the frame. For smaller children put it on the lower setting so thay more of a sling-type seat.
