Wireless and video monitors

Apparently having wireless can cause interference, anyone had this problem? I really need one of these if I am ever going to sleep in my own room, I've been on a mattress on DD's floor since moving to a new place and just got funding from carers centre for a video monitor so not impressed at learning this!

Man I spoke to at baby monitors direct said its worth trying as not the same for everyone but would the interference be just with the sound or the picture too? Any ideas welcomed I am desperate!

Have you got wireless internet connection? I'm thinking that if I switch the wireless etcoff at the socket when I go to bed it should be ok?
