or will a normal baby sheet do the same? Never swaddled before but I like the idea of it. Thanks

A normal sheet will be fine. If/when they start getting out of the swaddle using something like a Miracle Blanket can be a big help but for a small baby a sheet works perfectly well.

Pruners - was it a pram/moses basket size or cot size sheet?

Even better, buy a normal sheet, cut it up and hem it - single sheet will do six pram sheets, or 4 bigger sheets. Much cheaper and effective

I'd definitly go for a baby sheet - my DS hated being swaddled, and cried until the m/w let me unwrap him . It wil give you a chance to see if it works for you both without spending the money.

Thanks everyone, I won't let myself be persuaded by these gorgeous pics of newborns in their special swaddling blankets then and I'll use a normal sheet.

I jsut used cellular blankets. Worked right up until they were around 6-7 months and they were ready to stop.
