Anyone tried translucent tights?

I keep getting translucent thermal tights advertised to me on social media. They look amazing - fleece lined thick winter tights, but the models look like they are wearing 10 denier.

Anyone bought a pair? If so, what brand did you get and would you recommend?

They are expensive and don’t want to splash out unless they are worth it! No high street brands seem to sell them…

In reality, unless you're a size uk4 and never bend or move your legs, they won't look like the photo (which is not a problem to me personally, I quite like ageing into a Nora Batty look 😁 .) Also they will probably be less well made than the photos make them appear (probably quite cheap and nasty in quality, and very obviously not actual 10 denier tights). Also, a lot of social media selling is s scam, or scam-adjacent (overpriced, not as advertised, dropshipped from China, impossible to return etc.) I know several people who've been burnt by this! Sorry to spoil it but that's what I reckon!

I've used them for theatre to cover tattoos and the above post is generally correct - they're also generally the wrong skin shade.

Which is a shame because there's probably a decent market for a proper product like this in the UK!

That was my fear!! Thanks lovelies. Definitely not a size 4 here ;) If anyone finds a proper product let me know!

Ive literally just taken delivery of a pair of these. I bought them out of curiosity more than anything as I dont even wear dresses that often.
Just tried them on and was actually amazed that they went on -ulled right up and were warm and comfortable feeling.

On inspection it seems they are made from a very elasticy (is that a word?) pair of tights in a barely black shade and then this very stretchy( ah thats a better word) orange fleece material is somehow attached to the inside . The foot remains fleece free on the pair I have.

Just looking in the mirror they could reasonably pass for thin tights I think. Certainly evened out any lumps and bumps on me but looked scarily like I wasnt wearing anything under them .

The ones I bought were the cheapest I could find and came in 'one size' . I am definitely nowhere even close to a size 4 and accommodated me fine.
