Anyone got a Maxi-Cosy Speedi SX?
dollydaydream72 · 18/12/2004 12:18
Think we have narrowed down the (mind boggling) selection to a maxi cosy speedi sx pushchair with the dreami carrycot and cambio car seat. Has anyone got one if so what do you think of it? Any criticisms? Or if you've tried it and didin't like it, what reason and what alternatives did you find?
Thanks

Hi ddd72, I have a Quinny Freestyle which sounds exactly the same as what you've got your eye on. We bought the pushchair and then bought a dreami carrycot and a maxi cosi citi car seat, which both fitted on to the pushchair frame. It was an absolute godsend. My dd slept in the carrycot until she grew out of it, we just put it in her cot on a night and the car seat was great as we just threw the pushchair frame into the car and wherever we went in the car we just took the car seat out and clicked it onto the frame. Simple! The only problemI find now as dd is 14 months, is that the pushchair is quite heavy and big but yhe one your looking at is probably different. I would definatley say your looking at the right thing. I take it you've not had baby yet?

The Quinny brand is actually taking over the Speedi model (same manufacturer as Maxi Cosi). Think it is more practical around town than a Freestyle, tighter turning circle, but not so good over rough terrain. Friend has a Speedi for her large 2 1/2 yr old.

Thanks for the tips. I don't do loads of walking on rough terrain but need something that's good around town and for going down to the stables too!
Baby is due in April so we're just starting work on a mammoth shopping list!

Good luck! DH and I hammered mothercare one evening, it cost a fortune but we enjoyed buying things for our first child!
