How long does a nintendo ds lite need to charge before you use it?

I think the instructions say quite a few hours, but you can use it whilst it is plugged in.

From new??? Or just after being used alot?

I know when they are new they have to charge for a very long time but after that any other charge is maybe a couple of hours, but as mentioned you can use it whilst it is charging.

From new. By a long time are we talking 24 hours?

I can't remember as my son had an older version Nintendo ds but am sure it was about 8-10 hours but I may be wrong.

At Christmas took about 3 hours
