I'm still in shock

As anyone reading for us messy mums thread will know my dyson went kaput the other day. So I rang my clever brother and he told me to turn it back on (to see if it would iykwim) and it did go on. He said I needed to take the filters off and wash them. We chatted about this and that and I forgot to ask how to take the filters off (I'd mislaid the book) Anyway, thought I'd email dyson and on the form you had to put phone no. etc...
10 or so minutes later I came offline and just after the phone rang. It was a lovely lady from Dyson She went through removing filters step by step and then said she'd send me another instruction book too! I complimented her on excellent customer service and she seemed pleased

BTW I'm only in shock as I've been at the brunt of some awful customer service recently so it made a lovely change.

erm..can you tell me how to do it....apparently you are meant to do it every month....

Ok, if yours is the same as mine, when you take the drum off and look at the top where the handle is, you should see an arrow. you go to the end of the arrow and push it out whilst pushing on handle. Make sense? You remove filters and rinse out both parts then leave to dry under a radiator for 12 hours. So if you have any vacuuming to do best do it b4 this.

Yes I had the same excellent service too. I emailed a query to them via their website and within the hour a human being rang me back. The lady was very helpful and I was also in shock. Very strange service in this day and age (says CQ whilst on rocking chair darning socks for he who must be obeyed).

Can I suggest that either or both of you delighted customers pass your experiences on to Dear Claire at the Guardian. (email address at bottom of page). She likes good stories as well as bad!

Just checked out the link but the letters seem so long?
