My iron has conked out after 5 years hard service so my new b'day present is, you've guessed it, an IRON! I hate hate hate ironing, so am thinking if I have some serious kit it may improve my ironing lot. Does anyone have them and are they any good? Especially with bedding!! xx

My colleague has one- she loves it, and she has a lot of ironing- DH and 2 just adult sons in shirts every day!

Well- as much as you can love an iron FGS!

Yes I have one, it was pricey but worth every penny. I do a lot of ironing and it does make it quicker and easier.

Oh yay oh yay oh yay! I got really worried because loads of people gave the safety cover one 5 stars, and loads gave it 1 star, so didn't know what to do, but got it anyway! Got a new ironing board too because apparently I need a mesh one with foam on it or something to stop the clothes getting drenched! xx

I've got an Aldi one too - it's fab. Only problem is it's so loud I have to have Bargain Hunt on at full volume or I can't hear it!

babyjjbaby · 06/03/2008 23:31

marmadukescarlet · 06/03/2008 23:34

My friend has a £30 from Robert Dyas, she says it is fab but loud.
