Has anyone had any experience of purchasing large appliances from Amazon?
The Memsahib and I are in the market for a heat pump tumble dryer, and have found the one we want on Amazon (fulfilled by Amazon) at about £300 cheaper than other places such as AO and Appliances Direct. We've just got absolutely no idea how delivery will work.
There doesn't seem to be any option to add on additional delivery features, and the only delivery option is 'Standard Delivery'.
What will this entail? Will the item simply be delivered to the kerbside and left for us to bring into the house and position etc.,? Will it be taken in to the chosen in-house location? Or is the delivery somewhere between the two?
Given that it's a heat pump, it's only going to need putting into the cubby and plugging in, but it would be useful if, at the very least, we don't have to worry about getting it into the house!
