going to do the girls (2.5 and 5) a new bedroom in a couple of months but looking for ways of combining orange and pink together.

its quite a small room so i would ideally like funky colourful bedding and nice curtains with a plainer colour scheme for the walls.

Can you not paint 2 longer walls white, with one short wall pink other orange? (Obv, the colours facing each other to avoid blinding clash!)

nobodysfool · 03/03/2008 19:29

or how about painting the walls a pale pink or white then doing one feature wall in a bar code pattern (all different stripe widths of shades of pink and orange broken up with white stripes)

and these on the non stripey wall....

very vivid pink and orange can look fab together
think Indian influences - hot colours
like a fuchsia together with a tangerine colour

Maidamess · 03/03/2008 19:31

Zara home have FAB really colourful paisley design pink and orange duvet cover which would please either!

like the barcode idea, the room is currently a sunny yellow with coral woodwork (it matches the mamas and papas snail tail bedding)was thinking of keeping the workwood since it is basically orange.

stickers good too.

Hey if the girls don't like it can i move in?

katz · 03/03/2008 19:40

nobody its a very small room!

the plan is put them plus there wardrobe in the smaller bedroom so they can use the double bedroom for a playroom and we can get a sofabed for guests.
