My first annabel or Baby Annabel?

Going to get DS a doll to help with his pretend play. I quite like the look of the baby Annabels. Should I go for the basic cheap one or the all singing all dancing noisy one?

TIA

We bought dd the big one for her 2nd birthday, it is heavy and she rarely uses the sounds etc (never needed to replace the batteries), however, she plays with her everyday, sleeps with her, takes her on holiday etc Fantastic play value. We also have a few changes of clothes that she keeps in her baby Annabel pull along case that she does use but a car seat and baby carrier which are hardly used.

How old is your DS? Just gave my DD baby annabel for her 3rd birthday. She loves it in a cuddle her, cart her around sort of way. DS at 5 is very interested in the interactive functions - his mission in life is to get her to cry tears! He also takes pride in getting her to burp after a feed!

Go for the cheapest

The accessories and clothes for Annabel are extortionate!

She'll only get Biroed, anyway

We've never replaced the batteries in our BA so I'd say don't bother with the noisy one. Dd plays with it every day but when we first got it she was terrified into hysteria when the blasted thing started crying!

TC is it for his birthday?
He would prob like the baby annabel as ds often robs the dds ones. Think you can pick up the older ones that dd1 has for around £15-20 now.

DD had Baby Annabel from 20 months old and loved it; still gong strong now and she is 6yo in April. We didn't bother with any accessories or BA clothes - just buy tiny baby bundles from ebay and they fit fine, and we bought cheap non-brand accessories to go with her dolls. When she first had it she loved the interactive aspects of it - crying and nosines, sucking dummy, etc. but now it is rarely turned on.

Thanks everyone.

DS will be 4, it's for his birthday. I think the entertainer might have some of the old one left for £20, but nowhere else seems to. And lol at your DS robbing it
