My family and I enjoy these, you know the ones I mean: Mars milk drinks which have been around for probably 25 years and recently there have been others:
Milky Way, Galaxy, Malteser - the are all pretty similar actually - except the Twix one.
That is by-the-by though, they seem to have disappeared from the shelves! I am in Yorkshire, but yesterday took a trip to Manchester and noticed it is the same there.
Prices were getting silly actually, so they were becoming very much a special treat purchase, but that can be said for many other things that haven't just disappeared. Furthermore, there seems a new kid on the block - Chocomel - which I have tried (found it too sweet) and that was £2.99 for a carton!
Does anyone on MN work in the retail business/supermarkets who can explain this, before I research the Mars address and contact them directly.
P.S. Yes I know there are others: frijj and yazzoo, but its the Mars ones we really enjoy and it is weird that such a long-standing product, so not something they are testing the market with, has disappeared.
