I want to get some unlined leather gloves for my Mum for Xmas - she does not like the feeling of the lining. I'm sure I've bought some in the past (more than 10 years ago probably!) but I can't find any now - been to M&S, BHS, Debenhams. Does anyone have any ideas (pref not mail order, as I am having a nightmare with goods ordered weeks and even months ago which will not now arrive in time for xmas - best example is a xmas tree ordered from John Lewis, which they have been assuring me for some time will be with me any day now, but today they tell me there will be a delay and I may receive it in January! Doh!. Thanks

Oh - didn't realise I'd started this thread twice, and hadn't spotted these messages! Thanks for the tips - I would never have thought of Asda, but that is great news. I'm in Manchester, and John Lewis is not very near, but I fancy a trip there soon. Many thanks everyone.

After trying Next, Accesorize and George (none there!) I eventually found some in Kendals (part of House of Fraser). Phew!
