...and found that it did the job? I need to fence off an 3.3 m area of kitchen units and Im not sure from looking at the details of it whether it is flexible enough to fit to exactly that length ( it says it goes up to 3.6m, but I guess it will do any length less than that, or will it just do specific lenghts depending on how many panels you add???) Also, will I need to drill into the walls for it, as Im in a rented house?

Thank you!

I'm assuming you haven't bought it yet? In the instructions it advises you to put it up in a sort of curve for extra strength, so it should easily fit the gap you have. You will need to drill into the walls to fit it, but it's only two holes each side and doesn't take long - should be quite easy to fill when you're finished with as well.

A word of warning though - they don't stand up very well to small children hanging off them...

Ours has done well, we have it across where a wall used to be , dp made some wooden brackets to save drilling the wall. We could do that as the brackets fit around the bit of wall that's left. You couldn't do it with a flat bit of wall, not the arrangement we have anyway.

DD1 climbs over, DD2, at the moment, can't.

OK, sounds like its the one for me, havent bought it yet but will do now. No-one i know seems to have done this, even DH is behaving as though I am suggesting dividing entire house up into toy farm type areas, so I have been getting worried about ending up with very odd house. Silly of me, its just a gate, but good to know it works for you both. Thanks!!!
