Holiday buggy?

I am going to have to buy a pushchair to take to Lanzerote in 2 months, but a bit confused as to what to get.

Currently have a loola which I love but dont want to take it for obvious reasons.

Ds will be 2 weeks off his first birthday - was thinking something that reclines so that if we go out of an evening and he falls asleep he will be comfy? Dont really want to spend a fortune?

Ideas oh wise MN'ers?

You'll just need the cheapest stroller you can find that has a seat that reclines. Something like this from Mothercare for £35. Or you could get a second hand one, I bought DD a Maclaren Techno from Ebay a few years ago for about £40.

It's a shame you can't swap or borrow one from a friend.

Or ask on freecycle?

Thanks - I had thought about the XT, or a zapp, although I'm not sure whether they recline?

Will keep an eye on ebay, and the local charity shops - I had thought about asking a friend but I wouldnt want to borrow one just incase it gets damaged?

I bought an M&P Aria for our holiday last month(to Lanzarote funnily enough). I got it for £34 off ebay. It was perfect, The recline on it was very good, almost to flat which meant that DD could sleep well in it in the evenings when we were out. what i would strongly recommend though is a Shade a Babe. Completely invaluable pushchair shade. Don't know what we would have done without it.

what bout this

It's like a zapp but it reclines.

Bit much to spend though when mostly for hols...Its fine if it will get lots of use once home.....

We are also looking for one just for a week hols..don't want 2nd hand have so far the cheapest we have seen (reclines and has hood) is from mothercare oh baby atlas

Dh is keen to go abroard minus a pram and risk buying one out there... DD is on a buggy board now (just..at 2.10 years) so I think a pram is still needed on hols....anyone..?

What about these www.kiddicare.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/categorydisplay25_37_0_10751_14552_set_-1__10001here
I wouldn't wait tbh last year we forgot dd's buggy.
We tried to get one when we arrived only couldn't find one and were told we would have to make trip into nearest town to get one. We ended up hiring one that looked like it was going to fall apart any second !
Also got dleayed in airport and was desperate for buggy for her to sleep in!

thanks lilyloo. Thanks what I told dh... We are off to Marbella and dh (typical bloke me thinks.) says "oh sure we will find somewhere that sells one..Its not as though prams aren't sold outside of the uk" . I made same point as you and also the fact that I want a cheap one and can find a bargin at home etc YET abroard the cheapest one may be £100 esp in Marbella.!!! Plus you have a day or so lost messing around with a pram and all for the sake of trying to cut down on baggage..!

so do people reckon we should get one for dd...? I think she may be a nightmare otherwise (need to tie her down iykwim! )
