I love ours! DD still uses it now at 21 months! For me it was peace of mind - I knew the monitor was checking her breathing so I didn't have to ever few minutes (and I would have) when she was tiny.

Found it more trouble than it was worth.

I kept forgeting to turn it off before picking baby up and the alarm would then give the whole house a panic attack!

The alarm also goes off once the baby is a bit more mobile and can roll off the area where the mat lies. I now use it without the mat thing, so a waste of money for me really.
