dd2 is 16 months and we had moved her into blankets but she's kicking them off. In people's opinions what's better the sleeping bags or the fleecy sleepsuits?

We used the fleece suit as a dressing gown, then whipped them out of that into a sleeping bag at bedtime. I think they can get quite sweaty in a fleece suit and a sleeping bag prepares them more for the future when they will have a duvet or balnkets on top..

Dd is also 16 months and kicks off the covers. We have always used fleece suits or fleece bags with arms in, mainly because my mum made them for us! I don't think she gets too hot in the fleece suit, but we don't have any heating on over night so the room can get quite cold. I like the suits as she can walk around in them in the evening and morning. I keep telling my mum she should go into business making them.

We use both....(not at the same time!) - however, I think the sleeping bag has longevity that the sleepsuit doesn't (i.e it'll last you, where as she'll probably grow out of the sleepsuit quicker...) ds's sleeping bags will easily last until he is about three!

Ds2 (22mths) has a sleeping bag but still manages to wriggle out of it during the night. After too many mornings of finding him fast asleep with ice-cold feet we started putting him in fleecey sleepsuits instead.
