sorry for one-handed typing.

I need to buy a travel cot on the internet. Anyone know of any good ones? I only want a basic one, nothing flash. Have looked at mamas and papas basic, red kite and mothercare. I'm not sure I rely on any of these makes. Am I wrong?

I have done a search for previous topics but wanted some fresh opinions.
Thanks.

i got the graco petite one as it took up less space. Also, i used a company on the internet to make a mattress to fit it as the ones supplied with most cots are hideous, i cant remember the name off hand but try googling travel cot mattress. They were really fantastic, and will make a mattress to any size and spec.

Thanks Geordie. My dd is very long though, and we want a big one.

graco are ok (and they make some of the mothercare stuff too). you can get travel cot mattresses for them in mothercare too if you find the one that comes with the travel cot is not comfy enough.

Graco do a full length version of it too

I got mine from kiddicare shop + extra mattress. You can also get them through their web site. Mine isn't a "make" I knew of and DS has been sleeping in it in our room since he was 12 weeks old - he is now nearly 10 months. He will be moving into his own room and proposer cot soon!!

I meant "proper" cot of course!

Thanks. I've just realised we're going to need a bassinet as I've had a c-section. Doh!

this is the full sized version of the one we have

DH bought the big mothercare one. Was initially a bit surprised as wanted something a bit more, well, portable, but has been really useful. dd likes it and it seems pretty sturdy.

Thanks lazycat.

Geordieminx- that looks super nice!
