My Zannussi one has burnt out for the 2nd time in 4 years, this time I think it would have caught fire if I hadn't been here and seen/smelt the smoke and turned it off.

Any recommendations for a replacement?

mum has a bosch one

it seems to be surviving

also my friend had one (bosch) and was very miffed that new integrated d/washer wasn't as good

Oh God, DH has come downstairs with his toolbox and is taking it to bits. Just what I need a fire risk of a dishwasher

Hopefully it will be non fixable, I've just seen a nice Bosch one for £300, eeek.

i have a bosch classixx (freestanding), used daily and not burnt out yet!......

Well it can't be repaired - wires are all badly burnt out inside. Thank God I set it this evening, not in the morning on the way to work or the house would have been burnt down. I've emiled Zannussi - do you think I might get a replacement from them? (hopeful).

If not I'm definetly getting a Bosch.
