Babydan pram seat

I really don't want a double pushchair and am desperately looking for alternates for a 21month old and new born. I've seen the babydan pram seat but wondered what type of carrycot it is suitable for and people's experience of it. I've got a M&P carrycot and MPX frame.

Thanks

MPX chassis may not be stong enough to take the extra weight. Ideally it should be used on a bigger fixed wheel, sprung chassis. One for sale here your carrycot and seat unit will fit on to it.

Someone will be along soon though to tell you they used it with great success on their MPX.

Thanks teaandcake. I rang up M&P who gave the usual line 'we do not sell anything and do not recommend anything' so that was helpful. I also rang babydan who were very positive (but I felt a bit too positive) 'oh yes no problem it will be fine for your pram and LO'

I'm just concerned about buying it then using it and damaging our pram / pushchair.

Basically, if you use anything from another company on your pram the manufacturer will invalidate your warranty (for example, they really don't like the use of buggy boards).

M&P only give a 6 month warranty anyway, so don't worry too much.

sling for the newborn, then a buggy board for ds1 when they get too heavy?

ooh, teandcake, you'll know this - where might I be able to source the toddler seat for the Maclaren MX3?
They do/did sell one but not sure it ever made it to the UK...

Teaandcake · 27/02/2008 21:37

Hi Mrs Badger, I'm afraid I don't know about the Maclaren toddler seat, sorry.

It is very likely that it wasn't available in the UK because of our stringent BS stability test.
