Does anyone use their shampoo on their children's hair?

I used my Aussie shampoo and conditioner on DD1 & DD2's hair this week. It was so nice and their hair looked better after and smelt delicious. I try and only wash their hair once a week. Is there a good reason to use 'special' children's shampoo?

i do !

once i trained them to close their eyes when i was their hair, i stopped using no more tears stuff

my hairdresser told me baby shampoo PH level is not that great for baby's hair..

DD has mad curly hair so she needs a really deeply moisutrising shampoo and leave in conditioner or she looks like crystal tips!

I do too! DD has really fine hair and children's shampoo makes it look lank and dull. I use my herbal essences on her now and it looks nice and shiny.

And may I also say TC your children are gorgeous.

I use my shampoo. Their hair is cleaner than with 'baby' shampoo it just seems to leave a build up on their hair. Ds1 is 8 Ds2 5.

Agree - as long as you don't need the 'no more tears' aspect, no reason to use specific baby shampoo.

I use my Aussie shampoo on dd's hair, which is very long indeed!

Any other shampoo just isn't as good and I love the smell of her hair afterwards too! So smooth and silky.

I use Alberto Balsam Tea Tree Tingle on DS (was recommended on here by someone as a way to deter lice - so far so good) and his hair is fine.

Hi TC! Just looked at your profile - your girls are all so gorgeous . I LOVE the birth pool one.

my dds aer currently using Dr Haushka as it made my hair a bit horrid

they look and smell gorgeous

DD has always used my shampoo from a very early age; she has think hair and baby shampoo just made it a strange combination of frizzy and lank.

I think I have made a rod for my own back with that one, as it has now descenced into her nicking my hairspray, wax, make up, hairdryer and clothes - I should have drawn a line! (She is 12 by the way, in case you are imagining some made prococious 5 year old )

I use grown ups shampoo and conditioner on mine too. This was after DD got a scaly scalp and the hairdresser told me to stop using baby shampoo. I did, and her scaly scalp was gone.

Something in the "no more tears" stuff which can irritate them apparently.

have been using mine on dd since she was about 3 and could stand to have her rinsed with the showerhead.

atm she is using one I bought for me but didn't suit my hair.
