Car seat for Vectra - which one will fit despite the wee ledgy bit?!

The in laws want to buy one for their Vectra, supposedly so I don't have to put the seat in very time they take ds out, but really top show off their grandparent status! They need a group 1 that is not isofix, but the back seat has a little ledge in it which makes it tricky to get the car seat to sit right in. Any suggestions?

they need to go and get one fitted at somewhere like Halfords.

I had a Vectra and lots of car seats wouldn't fit in it as the seat belt holder thing is longer than most cars and the buckle would have rested on the car seat which can be dangerous.

I had a Britax First class Si but do advise proper fitting

check the britax website, theres a fit finder on there where you put in the type of car and it tells you what fits,

Pixiefish · 24/02/2008 08:12

that web site didn't work for me as the one recommended by the web site would have had buckle crunch in an accident due to the length of what the seat belt buckles into

ah so does that mean that no britax ones fit then?so you have a baby shop near you ?so they could try some in the car?
