And my next quest is .............. a nativity set!!
PolgaraInAPearTree · 11/12/2004 21:19
DD1 has decided she wants a nativity set for her room but it must have moveable figures and not have grass on the roof!! Not that she's fussy or anything . So does anyone have any suggestions where to find a small, inexpensive nativity set? Surely it shouldn't be this hard. She'll just have to compromise on her expectations I think IF I can actually find any! I have seen large ones but they are just too expensive after all the presents I've been buying!

I've just bought the playmobile one - got it from Fenwicks. It was about £14, but the wise men and camel come separately for about another £6.

have just brought a playmobile one from the entertainer about 15 quid.

My pound shop has a full set one, with HAY for the roof for a quid!

We got a little, cheap one for £1 from our local Christmas Shop. DD wanted something she could actually touch and use, when we looked at the Christmas Story book, so I just wanted something cheap. This is only little, with little figures of Mary, Joseph, baby Jesus, donkey and a cow. DD likes it and it looks okay too. The figures are all seperate to the stable so can be moved about and played with.

Past Times have a small wooden one in their half price sale at the moment. I can't remember how much it was but it was pretty cheap.

Thank you all. Will go and have a look at all suggestions! Have to say that Hulababy's set sounds exactly what I'm looking for but its probably just a bit too far to come .

Have a peek in your local cheap shop they might have them in. Pound shops tend to have the same stock in all of them nationwide...whatevers cheapest at the wholesalers that week!
