What sort of weirdo would like \link{http://www.letsbuyit.com/lbisite/jsp/product/category_prod.jsp?ShowSubCat=Y&SubCatClick=Y&ProductCobuyID=63771&CategoryID=26&SubCategoryID=29&countryID=4&si=Lord-pack-t.gif&mi=Lordimage-n.gif&rp=89.99&bp=20.00&prodtype=2\this}?

OnZephyrstdayofXmas · 11/12/2004 17:40

lol i think thats quite funny - i'd give that to dp Grin

tinseltree · 11/12/2004 18:23

That is crazy......I once bought my dp an "acre of the moon" (!) from iwantoneofthose.com - he thought it was the best present he had ever had!!!

ladymuck · 11/12/2004 18:25

Hmmm I wonder if I really could become Lady Muck?

whitepixmas · 11/12/2004 18:32

My sister was bought one of these. She's never used the title but she does own a couple of square feet of Scotland!

JJ · 11/12/2004 18:39

Oh, that is the perfect wedding present for a couple I know. They'll think it's hilarious. Thanks!

fairyfly · 11/12/2004 18:43

oh my gosh, it is the most ridiculous present (and for this reason only) why not wait until we all go out lord fucking

pixiefish · 11/12/2004 18:52

We've got a family at school who have done this. The parents insist on the full title being used on reports, exam entries, certificates, registers etc...

happymerryberries · 11/12/2004 18:54

You have to be kidding! What a bunch of twits!

fairyfly · 11/12/2004 18:55

Always loved names ending in esquire, or is that ive always wanted to punch people with names ending in esquire, i get so confused these days

TheHollyAndTheTwiglett · 11/12/2004 18:56

As the daughter of a prince (no, really Grin) .. I look down on you all .. you're all scum Wink (no offence Scummy Grin)

TheCattleWereLowryn · 11/12/2004 19:11

Well, that's DH's Xmas present sorted! Thanks Grin He has American relatives that would find this unbelieveably cool.

pixiefish · 11/12/2004 19:14

happymerryberries- we nearly hd a revolt on our hands when the parents wanted the staff to address the kids by their 'title'.

xmashampermunker · 11/12/2004 19:19

Oh God. DH was talking about this the other day. Think he fancies himself as lord of the manor. Surely I wouldn't be stupid enough to indulge him...well, maybe for his birthday!

SilentBite · 11/12/2004 19:41

pixiefish you are having a laugh surely! I can't believe anyone would be that cringe inducing!

You notice it's been reduced from £90 to £20.....?

pixiefish, I think you should point that out to your Lord and Lady.

pixiefish · 11/12/2004 21:53

Think they paid about £400 for theirs- about 4 years ago now Grin couldn't happen to a nicer family Grin Grin

moondog · 11/12/2004 21:55

pixiefish · 11/12/2004 21:58

moondog · 11/12/2004 22:00

Bloody cheek!!!!
(Wish I knew who they were... I know I know, confidentiality and all that...!!)
Could make discreet enquiries however..

Were they 100% serious about all this btw?!

pixiefish · 11/12/2004 22:00

110%

moondog · 11/12/2004 22:02

Why do we have to put up with so many a...holes I wonder?? Can't they go somewhere else for a change!?

feastofstevenmom · 11/12/2004 22:02

my best friend gave her godson one as a christening pressie Shock

she is very generous with baby pressies in general to be fair - so not likely to be the only major pressie he gets from her!

whitepixmas · 11/12/2004 22:10

I know someone who used his title when flying home from abroad and got upgraded!

moondog · 11/12/2004 22:12

Isn't that f**ing sickening?
