Folding scooter for a 3.1yr old

DS1 has just started playgroup and I think a scooter would be just the treat for the 20 min walk there (to save me from lugging him about on the buggy board). I think mini micro scooters look great and easy to handle, but they don't fold which would be useful if case we scoot somewhere and then get the bus back. Are they worth £40?

Any suggestions?

The Ozzbozz ones are great, fold up(you need the one with lights and 2 wheels on the back). We got ours from Boots or Amazon v cheaply(a lot less than £40, more £30 I think or maybe even £20). They've only just mastered scooting on it at 4 but they've got a friend who has been whizzing around on his for ages.

Mini Micros are brilliant my son has one as I have a 5mth old, he's 3.5. The handle unclips and it can then be stashed away easily.

The mini micros are just so worth the £40 they are incredibly light, so much quieter than the 2 wheel folding ones. Haven't ever tried to unclip the handles and it's so light can carry it with a couple of fingers.

a few kids have the Mini Micros on the playgroud on the way to school - they look quite good and not bulky if you can't collapse it for a bus ride

dd3 got a mini-micro today for her 3rd birthday. so far she is very impressed with it. and it is really light to carry. def worth £40 IMO. though i cant see her using it past 5, as the older two were on proper two wheeled scooters at between 4-6years old.

If your dc is anything like mine though they would use it til about 7yrs old - DS is 5 atm and would NOT go on a 2 wheeled one at ALL for fear of "falling" ...!

He is a wimp though

OK - We're going for a mini micro scooter! I did read somewhere on an archived thread that you can take the handle off so thanks taczilla for confirming that. When DS1 grows out of it DS2 will probably be ready to start scooting.

Thanks all!
