Does anyone have any experience of having a jane powertwin and a 7 seater?

I have a galaxy, all 7 seats will need to be up so have v limited space in the 'boot', do all 3 wheels come off really easily, even the front one? and can anyone let me know whether it fits??

p.s I know the easiest way would be to go to a shop and try one but I live rurally and my closest stockist is 2 1/2 hours away, so could do with some advice please.

Thank you x

Hi Onemore .. a slight hijack! We're going from 2 to 4 children in May/June and will have to change our Passat for a seven seater. We're consdiering a Galaxy and, like you, will have to utilise all 3 rows of seats. What's the boot room really like when the third row is up? We're looking at double buggys and thinking of a Out n About Nipper/Mt Buggy/Easywalker Duowalker, the biggest of which is about 22 inches deep when folded - height & width I don't think wil matter too much. Do you think there's 22" of depth (at least) between back row and boot door? Would you recommend the Galaxy as a car?

Sorry I know this isn't answering your question & hope you don't mind me asking you some !

Hi onemore - not sure about the Galaxy specifically, but have managed to fit my Powertwin in the back of my mate's Volvo 7-seater with all the seats up. We took a couple of the wheels off (yes, this is really easy, even the front one) and stood it up on its end IYSWIM. Don't expect to get much more in the boot with it though!

The folded dimensions are 46x35x87cm according to the babyzoop website, so maybe you can measure up to be absolutely sure.

Great pram by the way, loved mine.

Hi millie, I think the galaxy is great, you'll always have the boot space problem with any 7 seater umless you go for a renault grand espace, which is that little bit longer but you do get a proper boot.

Sorry but not much good asking me re what buggies fit - hence this thread!! but I do know that both back rows of seats can slide forward to give you those extra few inches at the back and you have a few inches space between the two very back seats that you can possible manouvre a wheel or sticky out part of the pushchair into, if you know what I mean??!!

All in all I would recommend it but if I were you I would check out the grand espace, maybe if we did I wouldn't be here!
Good luck.

Hi we have a galaxy and a powertwin and yes it fits, didn't even have to take the wheels off.hope that helps

onemore · 21/02/2008 14:42

Teddimac - thanks a lot for your post, it's really useful. All seven seaters have around the same room to play with so at least it gives me the impression that it would go in!

Also thanks for letting me know that all wheels come off, I think that'll make a big difference.

Thank you.
Anyone else, someone with a galaxy??

Onemore ... thanks for that. I'd like to look at Renaults but DH isn't keen. It's getting ridiculous now ... can't choose buggy til we choose car but can't choose car til we see what buggy we want .

Thanks again
