We bought the Bose one and damned the expense. Brilliant

GrapefruitMoon · 20/02/2008 16:24

I got one in HMV recently - £30 in the sale - think they still have them. No idea what brand (not a well-known one) but it looks ok (for that sort of thing anyway) and at least I'm actually using the ipod now...

SheherazadetheGoat · 20/02/2008 16:24

really! why is it so good?

am thinking about this one

Oh sorry, did you mean you want to spend £100-£150?

SheherazadetheGoat · 20/02/2008 16:27

obviously i would prefer to spend £30 but want good sound.

I got dh one of these for christmas. Sound quality isn't bad at all.

Smithy · 20/02/2008 16:30

Got the Klipsch iGroove here. Now reduced on Amazon to £99.99. Fab sound - can't fault it.

GrapefruitMoon · 20/02/2008 16:31

I suppose it depends what you want it for - I think the sound is pretty good on mine but it's just for using in the kitchen - if you wanted it to be your main stereo sort of thing it probably is worth spending a bit more (I think mine was reduced from £70).

I think the brand is House Party??

Oops - posted before seeing your link! DH loves his iGroove! Also has remote control. Will fit all ipods with the various adaptors and iphone too.

SheherazadetheGoat · 20/02/2008 16:36

definitely swaying toward the klipsch one as it seems to be bargainarama adn not too ugly. i tried the bose one in john lewis and apart from looks didn't really see what i was spending my extra cash on.

DH has the Streetparty one from Comet- it was about £50 but is really impressive for sound, really crystal clear.

maxnchaznlucytoo · 21/02/2008 21:01

Its this one here

Heated · 21/02/2008 21:01

Another thumbs up for the Klipsch iGroove. If you're not going to spend £300 on a Bose then this is the one to have. Beautiful sound.

SheherazadetheGoat · 23/02/2008 16:35

thanks for all the advice, went for the Klipsch iGroove and it is fab!
