A really nice dark wood, tall, narrowish cupboard for our landing?

I really really really want this but it's just a bit too small for the bedlinen etc I need to store in it - can't be too much bigger though as it's a small space - anyone seen anything?

How about something like this? Don't know if that is dark enough for you though, I will keep looking.

Is this too big?

Thanks NJ and WW - the Hiltons and Darlings ones are good style-wise but def no windows due to messy contents - and yes the Hiltons one is too big, sadly

Max width 108cm
Max depth 60cm

Min capacity/volume 460,000 cubic cm

OK now this is completely departing from the 'dark wood' requirement so brace yourself, but I came across this and unexpectedly like it - am I mad??

Wow!!!!

That would have to go in a very specific room I think. Either be the total focal point and everything else be dark but calm, or in a very very very higgledy mess of a room, with bright colours everywhere.

I like it though, my house is full of the type of furniture I showed in my first link, so it would fit in here nicely.

Well it's for the landing so nothing else at all for it to coordinate with really and the paintwork is neutral ...

I'm glad you like it - still need to discuss with DH!

The other option so far is this which is much more our usual style but I'm feeling adventurous ...

I personally prefer the elephant one, but it is much more my style, not that I have elephant style LOL Or at least I hope not!

You could warm the rest of the room up with Indian wall hangings. I have an antigue silk one with gold threading, it would look lovely with that cupboard

Sounds lovely NJ, I think it would be a one-off rather than the beginning of a theme - but thanks for the endorsement - DH is thinking about it!
