My review.....
near miss!
A near miss!
Daals had the potential to be great but fell down in the end. It's been an ongoing saga of emails, poor communications and a complete time soak.
13th of Jan - Ordered a number of bedroom items from the site. Quality was what I expected for the money, average fake veneer on MDF, fairly priced for what it is but don't expect a G plan that will last you for decades.
Sadly damaged drawer fronts and a damaged chair. The chair had no external damage to the the packaging it had been wrapped and packaged with damage from the factory.
Things happen, lets just sort it was my take. Kudos to Daals they were responsive and tried to give me a very low discount that basically wasn't worth considering so they sorted a replacement for the drawer.
This is where the BS started. Poor comms, deliveries turning up unnanounced, pot luck if we were in or not. I specifically requested deliveries not be made during a certain week, guess what delivery attempted and the chair not sent back or replacement given.
It's now the 16th of March, yep you read that right we are 2 months into this BS. I still have no chair, same back and forth BS emails, no refund and a level of practiced disinterest that suggests this is a well polished response to complaints.
More importantly for Daals is they opted not to honour my distant selling rights, fortunately in writing, so next stop is trading standards.
It just sucks that you have to waste your time with this kind of stuff. I spent circa 3K and have another 3k to spend on my sons bedroom which will be being spent elsewhere. for that I have had weeks of p*ssing about. It's such a shame as being fair to Daals the intial response was great, they almost made it.
Assuming your stuff arrives without damage I'm sure these guys are fine but if you are spending a chunk of cash I would be wary, the breach of distance selling rights was a big red flag!
Speaking to different faces every time has been annoying, poor comms annoying, the fact they chose to lose a customer over a £150 chair is.... annoying.
My now needing to become a Caron letting Reddit, Trustpilot, and everyone else know it's not all gravy despite the positive reviews.... (funny many of them seem to be written with a similar tone? Odd that!) is 'annoying'
One to avoid is the end outcome which is, guess what.... annoying!
