What about buying your own fabric and getting someone to make them for you?

Zazette · 18/02/2008 16:07

ebay - loads of really good vintage velvet curtains on there. or a vintage store if you have one near you.

Yes, I suppose I could but I don't want to leave the house, I want to order online!

We got red velvet ones from ikea - 110cm drop - £50 each. We have large windows so have 2 sets up. Not lined though but pretty good and cheap - we have blinds too.

ScotGirl · 18/02/2008 16:45

sorry - 110inches I think!!

Thank you so much for this advice, I am very happy though, dh looked in the loft and Hurrah, I am SO PLEASED, he found some really long thick lined red wine coloured velvet curtains that we put up there when we moved in and forgot about and they fit!A bit long but I think that'll look rather nice, a pool of material on the floor.
