I am wanting to buy new sofas soon, and have been looking around but can't decide whether leather or fully washable covers would be the best?

We have lots of children and a nephew who is very sicky!

what does everyone else have? [nosey]

Dark brown leather-easy to wipe clean!

We have this in brown, they have a slightly distressed look that 2 years of toddlers hasn't made any noticeable impression on.

See a theme developing here.

leather - just effortless wipe snot, spilled drinks and mucky mitts away. washable covers can't compete

fairydust · 18/02/2008 16:37

You see i've had leather for thae last 5 y and ca'nt wait to get a marterial with washable cushions again so much more comfortable and cosy - no cold leather in winter and sticky in summer

Our multiyork sofa with washable covers is 12 years old and still going strong(ish) - it could probably use a new set of covers, TBH, but I am so glad we chose it. It is much too comfy though and does have a habit of lulling people to sleep!
