Highchair for 3 month old

Can anybody recommend a high chair, DD is 3 months at present, holds head well and I'm sick of looking down at her in her bouncer while we eat dinner I would like to put her in a high chair so she can see us better (hopefully keep her calmer longer while we eat). Anybody know of one that is suitable for now but also useable as she gets older?

Most high chairs will be fine, just make sure it's got a harness. You can buy padded inserts for smaller babies that stop them wobbling about- I got one for dd

You can get high chairs that tilt back slightly for younger babys, i did'nt put mine in one till around 10 months. Could'nt you put her under a baby gym while you eat or in a bumbo?

Or in a pushchir (slightly higher up)?

We got a reclining booster thus for much the same reason and it did the job, but now she's 6m it's nowhere near as good as the tripp trapp for her to actually eat in - have farmed it out to PIL for visits.

Ebay's prob your best bet.

(actually twas this one - says from 3m)

Hi YvonneS,

I found Babyfy (www.babyfy.com) to be a useful resource, try the highchair section, www.babyfy.com/index.php/default/product/frmCatID/136/

Thanks,

Char

a chicco polly is great cos it lies pretty much flat but is still practical enough to last they are great especially if u get one off ebay

I've got my 5 mnth old in a Mamas and Papas full chair padded one and he's fine, it reclines really far back too in case he drops off (to sleep, not the high chair)

DS used a bumbo from 2 months old as he hated his bouncer - liked to be upright. We found he slid around too much in his highchair, so didn't use that until 7 months.

MrsBadger · 14/02/2008 11:12

bumbo's no good for the OP though as it'd still be on the floor.

thanks for the suggestions, will check them out

I have finished with my high chair if you were looking for a second hand one. It has 5 recline positions and mine fell asleep in it, it is so comfy. Big easily removable tray for cleaning and it has several height positions too. Wheels for moving it around and a brake for when you want it still.

If you want a new one it is the Mama and paps Prima Pappa one.
