dh says i need to be a lot older to get one

i also dont think it would be suitable for bike trailer for dd3.

but it was really nice to ride, my mum has one with 15inch frame and i think 28inch wheels. it looks a bit out of proportion but makes light work out of getting places.

no, what you want is a pashley princess

Furball · 11/02/2008 21:51

misdee = those sort of bikes are becommig more popular again now - hybrid and comfort bikes. It;s not that much different to mine. although I am at least 10 years older than you.

Furball · 11/02/2008 21:52

fingerwoman - I can see misdee now in a floral dress with a straw hat on, free wheeling down a steep hill with her legs out, laughing in the sunshine.

misdee · 11/02/2008 21:53

i cant afford a pashley.

i think my mums bike looks cool and reminds me a lot fo my childhood. dd's actually have old raleigh bikes which we have fixed up mainly as i am a sentimental old fool, i was even scouring ebay for a raleigh bluebell bikes from the 80's/90's (was white with bluebells on it IIRC)

I wanted a pashley princess

DH just laughed and laughed and laughed

(and not just because they are quite ££££)

I got some crummy cheapo internet sale bike.

I still yearn...

fingerwoman · 11/02/2008 22:00

i can't afford one either. but one can dream eh? lol

misdee · 11/02/2008 22:00

if it wasnt for the fact i use a moumtain bike and trailer combo currently for dd3, and my bike is 3months old, i would be saving now for a new bike.

i just keep thinking that the shopping basket would come in handy...

never midn the fact i have a huge trailer which can hold loads of stuff.
