Or can I just pop to a fabric shop and get 4m of material for a fraction of the price?

AM I missing something?

it's called Ellipsen schwarz, baically black background with white ovals one (and reverse on reverse side). just looked in sonderangebote and cheapest size 6 I can see is 84 euros, but they're all manky anyway. don't fancy anything too hippy or pastel , no offense intended to and pastel hippies out there

the other one I thought wads fairly innocuous was gray waves, but also the most expensive! Just don't want anything bright stripey lairy.

if you like didys you will like storchenwiege. also german, similar quality, cheaper because it isn't organic and prob less name recognition.

you will prob find the colour choice limiting but a lot of people like the leo rouge and leo turkis (blue) if they don't do stripes or get the natural and dye your own colour.

stripes, but I love, love, love the Ulli. It is prettier in RL than on the site. it is amazing. and i don't even generally like pink.

I also love teh Didymos Jim - fantastic colour combo. have to be seen to appreciate.

Didymos are fantastic. You could try getting one second hand. Do you know about the yahoo babywearing swap/sale group?

there is a black ellipsen sz 6 and silver waves sz 5 on german ebay at the mo.

KashaSarrasin · 11/02/2008 22:01

Yes, they are worth it. I've never seen any fabric in a shop with the same weave and miraculously supportive properties.

Storchenwiege wraps are also extremely good, also Girasol. Lots of people prefer one make over another (I'm a huge Girasol fan), personally I'd go for the design you like best.

katierocket · 11/02/2008 22:02

I've got one that I've never ever used. I just never got round to learning how to tie it!

ernest · 12/02/2008 09:54

you lot are great. kiksidee, will keep an eye on that ebay one.

kr, dare I ask, is yours lairy, and if not, you interested in selling?

OP posts:
katierocket · 12/02/2008 10:17

ha! no, it's white and light grey stripes. I will try and take pic of it tonight an upload. Happy to sell it. We've never used it.

katierocket · 12/02/2008 10:19

if you go to the didymos website it's described as model
Standard white/grey

I need to double check what size it is.

ernest · 12/02/2008 11:30

ok, that's reasonable ish - no disrespect to you lol. if it's a 6 I'd be interested mybe.
