Following from my previous thread - what speed spin does your washing machine have? I am just about to buy a new one and was think I'd definately need a 1400 however I went home and looked at my current one and its only 1000 and has served me fine for the past 8 years.

mine has a 1600 spin
if you've had a 100 for all these years you will be in bliss with the 1400

obviously I meant 1000

Does it make a big difference?

Oh sorry cardy, I have just set up another washing thread x posted.

FWIW our last one was 1400 but it was a Hoover and never worked properly from the outset.

The faster the spin the dryer the washing comes out, well if your washer is working as it should!

Serin - Have you got the link to your other thread? Could be useful.

I've always thought that my washing came out not to bad (the machine was only a whirlpool 1000) - maybe I'm going to be for a pleasant surprise with a Bosch 1400!

God I can't believe I'm so interested in washing machines!!
