Has anyone got the ELC Mini Sizzlin Kitchen? and is it any good?

My ds is 3 in a couple of weeks and likes the look of this in the brochure and we don't have space for a large kitchen. Just wondered if anyone has it and whether it is worth having or waaaaay too small? I can't seem to find an alternative elsewhere to compare with.

hi bodiddly - my dd got this for her 2nd birthday after running up to it with pure excitement everytime we saw it in the shop. sometimes she plays for ages with it, giving me chance to make the tea or whatever. it isn't massive but neither is she ! not sure if the age diff between our lo's will make any difference ?? guess he is taller than her so the kitchen may seem smaller ??

hard to judge isn't it ! she has some toys she doesn't play with at all, but this one has been a big hit ! we got a free 'accessories pack' worth about £40 (or so they say) with ours - all the plates, pans etc etc but i think this offer is standard...

hope this helps ??

We don't have that one, but we have a similar one (in size) from Little Tikes. We got it when my eldest was about 8 months old and he used to sit in front of it for ages. He is now 6 and a half and my youngest is 3 and a half and it still gets use. Not all the time, but they still do play with it. So, the size issue is ok in my opinion.

thanks to you both. I am torn because the Smoby full size kitchen with loads of accessories is about the same price in woolies at the moment but I just dont think we have the space!

DS has this and I quite like it as it's small enough to pop in the car if we are visiting people. He doesn't use it all the time which is aother good reason to have only got the small one.

I really think it's the food bits and pots and pans that hold their attention rather than the actual cooker.

bodiddly · 10/02/2008 19:15

how old is your ds connortraceptive?

We've had it for about 3 years now, DD still plays with as does her little brother. Love it!

I half expected people to say that the mini version was rubbish and not worth getting so it is encouraging to see so many people like it.

hi,nope sorry its a normal height one but it s very compact, and you can take the top off it so if you wanted to store in in cupboard or something you could,

bodiddly · 10/02/2008 20:54

thanks sazm - I think I will probably go for the elc mini sizzlin one.

Yes DS got this for Xmas (he's 22m) and he loves it. He plays with it quite a lot and often brings me the food, drink from it. We also got him the fridge, toaster and washing machine from the same range. The washing machine in particular is great.

We have the ELC mini sizzlin kitchen thing that packs into a tool box type thing and it's brilliant!!!!!!!! My 3 are 4 and 3 and we live in a tiny house, they had it for Xmas and they love it. For some reason cafes is the current fav game!!!! I love it as it can be tucked away into the toy cupboard so I don't end up kicking it on a daily basis!!!!!
