What does 1 GB capped service mean? techy help please!!!!

I am changing my broadband from TISCALI who are useless to Freedom 2 serve

Have just rung them and they do a capped service of 2MB speed but it is capped at 1GB

Please can someone explain what this means

If I am on MUmsnet for all day and evening Does that count?

If so how much?

What about DS and cbbc games or lego.com games?

How much are they?

Please help me?

Does it mean the amount of time?

We don't download music or videos btw.
