Anyone else find the Next app surprisingly useless? It's been like it for years and I've always assumed they'd update and deal with the issues but they never do.
For such a big retailer it never ceases to amaze me when I use the app just how disappointing and backwards it is! Their developers must know they are nothing in comparison to their competitors?
I only really shop in the clearance section and go through home, kids, mens or womens depending on what I'm after. I like inspiration for gifts and you can get some bargains. Generally then filter by size, sort by price and then I'll start going through the list.
My issues are -
There is no way of filtering out what's not available so I can try to add an item to my basket only to be told it's out of stock. So why is it in the list then? It happens so many times! Yes I'm in the clearance and if it's a bargain it's likely to sell fast but why does it still appear if it's out of stock?
It then adds this "out of stock" item to my basket anyway which I then have to remove from my basket before I can go ahead and buy anything else that I like that is in stock.
Only one photo per item? Makes no sense to me! Sometimes this one photo isn't even very clear. Plus you can't see the back of tops or dresses.
No description telling you anything about the item or maybe just whats it's made from but that's it. You literally have the title and nothing else.
I'm just surprised they haven't developed something more reflective of what's needed when online shopping and better matches what their competitors offer on an app.
