Present for 8 year old boy

CER · 05/12/2004 19:31

Our local Lions club has arranged for people to buy presents for children who wouldn't get one otherwise.

I picked a ticket for an 8 year old boy but now have no idea what to buy. I'm after something for about £10, without batteries.

Any suggestions would be gratefully recieved!

Have you looked in the Argos catalogue? They usually have quite good things for boys.
Or how about a good football?
Sorry, can't think of anything else!

what about the geomag and geomag-like magnet sets? Am sure you'd get something under or around £10.

Thanks for all your suggestions. Can honestly say that I've never heard of any of them (ds is only 3)so I'm very glad that you've all pointed me in the right direction. Will see what my local toy shop has and go from there.
