Broadband - why does it disconnect when ....?

Have just installed broadband and it seems ok. I am on Wanadoo. It will happily stay connected all day if I am on the internet, but as soon as I go to Outlook Express to connect to email it disconnects and asks me to reconnect.

Why ?????

Have a look at Outlook Express - Tools - Accounts - Mail. Does it specify a connection or does it say 'any available'? I'm on Wanadoo and mine says 'any available'.

It does say Any Available first, then it has the NTLworld account as this was my old email provider. Can't disconnect that for about a month as still getting emails on old address. Do you think it's because I have a second account set up ?

Bear with me Kayleigh cos I'm not very techy........if you click on the NTL one, go to properties and then connections will it let you change it to any available?
