I'm going cross eyed with Googling car seats. Can anyone help me and tell me what the difference between Maxi Cosi Rodi XP and XR is please?

I think I have just got it... can you recline the XR on a fixed base but not the XP?

The XR reclines and you can widen the sides as the child grows.

nannyL · 06/02/2008 21:26

out of 100

Liath - can you recline the XP but not widen it?
I'm kind of losing the will to live here, comparing features one against the other - now I am so confused I think it would be easier to make DS walk the 50 miles to his grandma's

Thanks NannyL.
Not much in it in safety then, so I am sort of hanging onto the recline feature as I use his Stage 2 carseat in recline on the way back from grandma's as we leave at bedtime.

Dh doesn't think you can recline the XP (he has been researching car seats for our nearly 3 year old) - have just bought the XR.

winestein · 06/02/2008 21:56

Right - I think it's finally sunk in - you can recline both but the XR is easier to recline from the front seat if the child drops asleep and the XR scores a bit better for better side protection. There is a bit of an issue witht he base on the XP if transferring it between vehicles.

I think!

Thanks for your help you two. Much appreciated
